Privacy policy

What we collect

• Details you type into our forms: your name, phone number, email, event date, guest count, city and anything you write in a message.
• Your answers in Plan with AI, and the package or service you ask about when you request a booking.
• Store quote requests for favours, gifts, jewellery rental or rentals, including names for gift tags.
• Wedding invites you make with our invite maker, and the RSVPs your guests send: guest names, phone numbers, the functions they will attend and their messages.
• Vendor and venue details sent through our Vendura sign-up form.
• Payment details when you pay an advance online. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card or bank details.

Why we use it

• To reply to you, suggest venues and send quotes and plans.
• To book and brief the venues, vendors and makers who deliver your event.
• To run your invites and RSVPs, and to show your guest list to you.
• To keep accounting and tax records, as the law requires.

We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising networks.

Who we share it with

• The partner venues, vendors and makers working on your event, and only the details they need.
• Service providers that run our website and tools: website hosting, our database, the Plan with AI chat, our payment provider and WhatsApp, if you choose to chat with us there.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it.

Invites and guest details

When you add guests to an invite or share an RSVP link, you decide who receives it. Please only share it with people who would expect to hear from you. Guests can ask you or us to remove their RSVP at any time.

Cookies and storage on your device

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a few things for you on your own device so they are there when you come back: your store cart, your décor board and the invites you made. Clearing your browser data removes them.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them to plan and deliver your event, and afterwards only for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Enquiries that do not go ahead are deleted when we no longer need them.

Your choices

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, or delete them, and you can withdraw consent you gave earlier. Write to concierge@vivaahvista.in and we will reply as soon as we can. If you are not happy with our answer, you can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
